Favorite Karma Project
I loved all the projects! Karma only works with clients we all feel passionate about. Two that stood out were Element, an engineering company in San Francisco run by an inspiring and heart-centered woman of color focused on affordable housing. I helped give the owner a voice on social media. The other was, coincidentally, Housing Connector, where I personally interviewed all team members as part of market research for brand development and had truly meaningful conversations with people dedicated to helping the disadvantaged into homes. People, and how best to help them communicate to achieve their goals, fascinate me!
Zone of Genius
I am a skilled interviewer, though the better word is listener, and creative ideas never stop coming. Plus, I was born with a pen in my hand and the urge to write. I'm an amazing cheerleader (positive support). My top five Clifton Strengths are Maximizer (making something better) Strategy, Individualism (seeing people as individuals with their own particular gifts), Futuristic (identifying goals and action steps), and Positivity. I have the gift of having 25 years in peer-facilitated recovery groups where I have mentored and run workshops here and overseas. Meeting new people makes me happy, as I find everyone fascinating.
Favorite Tech Tool
Anything that helps me communicate.
Dream Client
I personally believe women are the answer to everything, and I am always excited to help their businesses grow and thrive.
Volunteer Work
I have volunteered with a theatre, helping them with marketing, a romance writer's conference, helping with event management, recovery groups, as well as a local art gallery that showcased the work of minority artists.
Did you say fun?
Basically, I'm a concierge for a French Bulldog when I'm not working, but otherwise, you will find me rewriting words to sexist songs, singing karaoke, swimming in the lake or ocean, lying in the sun in a hammock, or reading. What do I read? If there is a new marketing book, I'm on it. Or, I'm a sucker for vampire novels (see what I did there?).
